Who is Laurent Mekies? Racing Bulls engineer taking over Christian Horner’s Red Bull team principal role
LAURENT MEKIES has been promoted to Red Bull Racing Team Principal replacing Christian Horner who was sacked.
The Frenchman will become CEO of Red Bull Racing with immediate effect after Horner was shockingly sacked on July 9.
Who is Laurent Mekies?
Mekies was the engineer of Racing Bulls having taken over at the helm at the start of the 2024 season.
He previously worked as a race director at Ferrari until 2023 when he left to join Red Bull.
The 48-year-old also worked for Toro Rosso until 2014 as well as a safety director for the FIA before his big move to Ferrari in 2018.
